Obama Leads McCain!

Don't Forget to Get Out and Vote!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain in six of eight key battleground states one day before the U.S. election, including the big prizes of Florida and Ohio, according to a series of Reuters/Zogby polls released on Monday.

Obama holds a 7-point edge over McCain among likely U.S. voters in a separate Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby national tracking poll, up 1 percentage point from Sunday. The telephone poll has a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.

Obama heads into Tuesday's voting in a comfortable position, with McCain struggling to overtake Obama's lead in every national opinion poll and to hold off his challenge in about a dozen states won by President George W. Bush in 2004.

Electoral College looks better for Obama-Map

Here's a snapshot of what the Electoral College looks like on the Yahoo! News Political Dashboard. Barack Obama is ahead, but what the map doesn't show at first glance is that many states could be in play.

This dashboard map is based on the Real Clear Politics poll averages from Sunday night. If America's vote mirrors these polls, Obama would get 353 electoral votes, far surpassing the 270 needed to win the presidency. (Note: A new poll out overnight moves North Carolina's poll average to an exact tie, putting Obama's total at 338 Monday morning.)

Obama aunt from Kenya living in US illegally - Was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.
Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as "Aunti Zeituni" in Obama's memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango's case. It was not immediately clear how Onyango might have qualified for public housing with a standing deportation order. More...

Saddam Hussein’s body was stabbed in the back

Baghdad - The body of Saddam Hussein was stabbed six times after he was executed, according to the head guard at the former president’s tomb north of Baghdad, who was one of the people that helped bury the corpse. The claim is categorically denied by the head of Saddam’s tribe.
